Anyone going to watch the opening ceremonines tonight with a doll? What about the events? What winter Olympic events do your dolls like the best? I know that Samantha and Marisol like the ice skating. I'm not quite sure about the other dolls yet.

We are going to be watching the speed skating. My 2nd cousin, Elli Ochowicz, is on the US Team and will be skating in the ladies 500m and 1000m (her mom and my mom are cousins). Those events are Feb 14 and 19.

Elli is the current US champion in the 500m.

I usually only watch the ice skating, and Marisol will probably join me. She loves anything to do with dancing of course, and since skating is dancing on ice, she's game. Maura likes ice skating, too, because I do. And I could see Samantha liking it.

You bet we will all be watching! My girls love ice skating, skiing, and the Bob Sleds. They have not had a reall good chance to use their snow gear that much as the winter temperatures here in Corona. CA. have been usually mild.

It has been in the the mid to high 80's the last couple days!!!

I enjoyed the opening ceremony - it was great. I especially enjoyed the dresses the girls wore carrying the signs with the country names. They had white skirts representing snow covered mountains with little trees and downhill skiers on them, the girl for Italy (actually Miss Italy) had little mountain towns with lit windows on the skirt. There were also some other nice things at the opening, don't want to give away too much if you haven't seen it yet.

The girls had no choice but had to watch it as they're standing/sitting on the soft chair in the living room, right next to the TV.

Hello Everyone,
Does anyone else like the weird sports like curling? I do, just wondering.

Yes, we're all going to watch. Jess expressed an interest in seeing any athletes from Belize... and Kirsten wanted to know how many athletes were from MN!
